Accessibility statement

Scope

Dpro GmbH provides this statement for the Girru website at girru.dev: the home page, the changelog and this page. It does not cover the Girru desktop app or the GitHub pages we link to.

Accessibility status

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. A full assessment against WCAG 2.2 AA has not been completed yet, so we do not claim that the site conforms. What we have checked so far is listed below.

What we checked

Text and background colours meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text, in the dark and the light theme.
All functions work with a keyboard; focus is always visible, and a "Skip to content" link comes first.
Each page has one main heading, headings do not skip levels, and the page language is set.
Animations and smooth scrolling stop when your system asks for reduced motion.
Pages work at 375 px wide without horizontal scrolling.
Without JavaScript, every download and every release is still reachable.
Accessibility settings (text size, contrast, spacing and more) are available from the footer on every page.

Known limitations and alternatives

The app window on the home page is a drawing. Screen readers get a short summary of what it shows instead of every detail.
We have not yet tested the site with screen readers such as VoiceOver or NVDA.

If something on the site does not work for you, tell us and we will send you the information in another way.
